Moneyball

Maney ball was released as a book  in the US in 2003 and was made into a movie in 2011, directed by Bennett Miller and starring Brad Pitt.  The book was a best seller. The film premiered in Asia at the 24th Tokyo international Film Festival as the official closing film. The box office gross was 12.1billion Japanese yen. The production cost was 5 billion yen.

Billy Beane was once a star prospect who was drafted first by the New York Mets as a super high school player. He dropped his recommendation from the prestigious Stanford University and went on to a professional career. However, things didn't work out, and he became a scout and retired from the service to star in second life. When Bean gets a job as a GM He tries, he meets Brand, who evaluates players on a different scale than other scouts. Trying to reform the team with this encounter.

My opinion of this movie is that a team is better off with a high hit rate than a player with a high home run rate, but as a customer, isn't it more fun to see a home run than a hit? It is true that winning is ultimately a good thing, but it the true content of the game is not good. Customers will not be interested in the game.
